What to Expect.
In Studio.
When you arrive at my studio I get you to come in and have a seat (usually after a good hug!) I take a moment to check in with you and see how you are feeling and I will then take you through to the treatment room, where there are candles, crystals, essential oils - all the yummy things!
If the weather is cool I make sure the bed has been heating to ensure you are completely comfortable - adding pillows and blankets to support you.
Together we take a few deep breaths, I guide you through a little body relaxation and then we begin.
The session usually takes an hour, give or take a few minutes. I finish with a head massage and allow you to take your time to come back into your body.
When you are ready, I have water and a treat waiting for you, while we talk over your session, how you are feeling and any questions you might have.
Before leaving you can intuitively choose a crystal to take home with you, as a reminder and helper in your healing.
Distance Reiki.
In a distant reiki session, together we find a day and time that works for both of us.
I encourage you to set up a comfortable space that you can relax in, adding candles, crystals, keeping a journal nearby in case you need to write. I encourage you to have an intention for your session, which is nice to set as we begin the treatment.
Meanwhile I am setting up at my end - I make an alter - this usually consists of a candle, some crystals, flowers, perhaps a god or goddess, and a set of oracle cards.
I sit before we begin to breathe and ground, before sending you reiki. I do this by drawing particular reiki symbols, "turning on" reiki.
I then work through your chakras cleaning and clearing and asking reiki to go just where it needs to right now. Before I finish I draw a few cards for you too.
This session will usually take an hour, and afterwards I call you (if you feel up for it) and we talk through your session. I send you pictures of your cards and their meanings, a picture of your alter and any notes I have taken.
